    Opening soon!

Amsterdam is a truly unique city, which has something to offer for everyone, no matter whether you are a fine art admirer (have we mentioned that the biggest Van Gogh collection is based in Amsterdam?) or came here for the city’s vibrant night life. Although nothing of those matches well with heavy luggage you have to carry around. So is there a way to solve the luggage problem?

At the airport (Amsterdam Schiphol Airport):

Amsterdam airport is one of the very few european airports where you can leave your luggage either before or after the security check.

For storing your hand luggage and other smaller items, you can use automatic storage lockers right next to the gates, it’ll cost you €8 a day per item for a period no longer than a week. Larger suitcases should be left in Baggage Storage Area between Arrivals halls 1 and 2. Here you can leave your baggage for up to 30 days and will pay €6 a day for a hand-luggage bag, €9 a day for a checked-in one and €12 for an oversized item.

Both automatic lockers and storage facility are open 24/7 and accept card payments only.

At the train station (Amsterdam Centraal):

If you are travelling via Amsterdam main train station, you can use Bagagekluizen luggage storage lockers: it is €7 a day for a smaller locker or €10 a day for a larger one. The lockers are located in the east wing of the train station and are open every day from 5am till 1am. Only card payments are accepted.

But this is not the only option you’ve got. There are several private luggage storage facilities in 5-6 minutes walk from the station. Usually the lockers here are more convenient and the prices lower. In addition to that, quite often they provide other tourist-oriented services such as free WiFi and device charging, printing services or even bike rental.

    In the city center:

There are plenty of luggage storage options all over the city — you will be able to find a convenient place to leave your bag literally wherever you are! For example, if you happen to be around Pijp district and plan to pop down its famous market, use Luggage Express storage services; if you are more interested in the museum side of Amsterdam, leave your backpack with Lockerpoint Museumplein — this will enable you to move from one museum to another without worrying about long cloak rooms queues.

    Airbnb for your bag

In addition to automatic storage lockers, lots of luggage storage networks like Stasher, Nannybag or Luggage Hero operate in Amsterdam. Their Partners are located all over the city, usually in a walking distance from the main tourist attractions and transport hubs, making them convenient to use whatever you do.

Leaving your luggage with any of these companies means that your bags will be stored in a specialised luggage room of a hotel, café, rental point or a store. No need to worry about the security of your belongings: all luggage rooms are locked and equipped with CCTV cameras; besides, your luggage is fully insured for the time you use the service.

Important! You’ll need to pay for your booking online; Partners do not accept payments on site. You will also need to provide your booking confirmation and any form of ID upon arrival. Remember, you are only able to pick up your bags during the location’s opening times, so check it carefully before booking.
